Automotive Solutions Greerton is led by Shayne and Josiah, offering reliable automotive services with over 50 years of combined experience. Shayne, a South Islander, has a rich history in the industry, while Josiah brings his expertise as an auto electrician from the U.S. Together, they ensure your vehicle gets top-notch care in our fully equipped workshop, covering everything from car servicing to air conditioning and WOF checks.
Shayne
A proud South Islander, Shayne kicked off his career in the automotive industry early, starting his apprenticeship at just 15 years old. His love for the trade took him on a working holiday through Australia and the UK before eventually settling in Nelson, where he started a family and worked in a local service station.
In 1999, Shayne took a big step—purchasing his first automotive workshop. Just a year later, he became a member of the Automotive Solutions Group, where he's been ever since. In 2014, he made the move to the sunny Bay of Plenty, where he bought and rebranded a local workshop into what we now know as Automotive Solutions Greerton.
When he’s not running the shop, Shayne enjoys cruising on his motorcycles, catching up with mates over a good beer on tap, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way.
Josiah
Born and raised in the Great Northwest of the United States, Josiah found his passion for the automotive industry early, starting his journey at just 16 years old and never looking back. In 2018, he made the exciting move to New Zealand with his wife and two children, continuing his career as an auto electrician.
Josiah first crossed paths with Shayne at a Choice and Solutions training event in Tauranga back in 2019. The two hit it off instantly, and from that moment, Shayne knew Josiah would be a perfect fit for the team. Fast forward to March 2025, and we're thrilled to officially welcome him aboard!
Josiah brings not only a wealth of experience but also a passion for sharing knowledge and exploring the stunning landscapes of New Zealand.
